Absolute Pitch (Perfect Pitch) Test - C Scale

Switch to : Chromatic Scale

Purpose

Absolute pitch, or perfect pitch, is the ability to name the pitch of a note without reference to another note.

Files under test

Individual piano notes, from C3 to B4 in C scale. Don't listen to these files now but start with the blind test first (next section). If you ever failed the blind test and want to improve your absolute pitch skills, use the files below as a training set.

The Test

For each column, tick the appropriate radio button. When the 10 files have been all labeled, click the "Submit" button to get your score. Reload the page as often as you want to perform new tests.

You may possess the absolute pitch if you succeeded getting 9 or higher without listening to the individual labeled files first (previous section). You may possess good relative pitch if you used a labeled file to get an audible reference.
